You and I each spend an average of 6.9 hours scrolling Facebook a month. (In fact, just reading the word “Facebook” probably makes you want to go check your feed.) We're addicts.
We scroll at work, in the car, at dinner, alone, first thing in the morning, last thing at night, with our kids, instead of reading, while the TV is on, during conversations, and anytime we feel uncomfortable.
And then we sit on the couch at night and wonder why we never get anything we want done. (At least, I do.)
Today is the day we change that.
I’m going radio silent for a week to get some stuff done. And you can too. Here’s how:
- Pick a project you've been wanting to put a dent in.
- Decide on five things you can do for it this week — one thing a day.
- Post about what you're going to do. (This will help create some distance and initiative.)
- Log out. Don’t look back. Get to work.
Or you could check Facebook again.
